I can’t believe it’s time for another weekend already!! This year is flying by and for us, it only looks to become more hectic.
Denim top – JCP (old), Floral Capri’s – Chadwicks (old), Sandals – Payless (old), Calvin Klein Belt – Thrifted, Aviator Sunnies – Ray Ban
With the warmer weather I couldn’t resist pairing this great denim top with my Capri’s for a casual look. Also I’m playing along with the @C2C_Central girls for the #Tucked-In #CoasttoCoastChallenge yesterday. I attempted the front tuck, but I never seem to master the look. I’m positive I’ll keep trying, LOL.
I went with a #redlip today, although it looks pink in most of these photos, and the no-heat curls I blogged about recently.
Hope everyone has a great weekend! I’m hoping for a relaxing weekend myself. Until next time!!

Happy Wednesday Ya’ll!! Boy is it cold out here!
Coat – JCP, Chunky Scarf – Julep (Christmas gift), Sweater & Corduroys – Thrifted, bag – TJ Maxx, Boots – Easy Spirit
I’m not sure if you can tell, but I’m getting rained on, the wind is blowing and it is cold, cold, cold! But I’m actually really warm here. I’m doing my best this winter to stay warm and hopefully dry. Layers, as always, is where it’s at and today is no exception!
My inspiration came from Tueday’s #CoasttoCoastChallenge Winter Whites!
I really like pairing this thrifted sweater with a plain white long sleeved knit top, it really helps the sweater stand out and keeps me warm too. I layered on this chunky scarf that’s super cozy along with my wool coat and cozy thick corduroy pants to finish out the look. I bought this coat, on sale, roughly 8 years ago thinking it would be a good winter staple. It certainly has been, I’ve worn it almost every winter since.
One of the suggestions was to add black accessories and shoes. With today’s wintery weather I was really glad to have the sturdy black boots keeping me warm and dry. I added the black belt over my sweater to help tie in the black bag and shoes. What do you think, did I pull it off!
I’m linking up with these lovely ladies today! Hop on over and check out the other great styles!!
I am finally going to make it into another Everybody Everywear link up!! Yahoo!! I’ve missed the past few months just because I was too busy and only remembered after it was too late! So September’s theme is only fitting – Back-to-School!
I have to admit, this one was initially kinda hard but after searching around Pinterest (to the rescue!) I was able to up with an outfit I really liked!
Blazer & Bracelet – Target, Blouse – Thrifted, Purse & Jeans – JCP, Sandals – Merrell via Mom!
Colored Blazers are everywhere right now & we’ve actually been having some cooler temps so this was a perfect choice for today!
Even though my blazer is white, that is still a color and like most other bloggers, I don’t buy into the “no white after Labor Day” fashion rule!
I’m loving all the Mint + Coral looks over at Kristina’s latest Blogger’s Do It Better challenge!
Blouse, Pumps & Skirt – Thrifted; Sweater – JCP; Necklace worn as a bracelet – old
Frankly, these are the only two pieces that I own in Mint & anything closely resembling Coral, there are no others. So this challenge was a hard one and I wasn’t altogether sure I could pull it off, but in the end I think it turned out alright & I did receive a few compliments at work today.
I really like these colors and would like to add more of them to my closet, but so far no luck. Gathering ideas from all the looks I’ve seen on the Mint + Coral BDIB link up, I really like the simplicity of adding a statement necklace or skinny belt to add the color pop to an otherwise neutral outfit. Still working on mastering that one….
Today’s Friday Fancies theme is color blocking. I believe my outfit qualifies for this challenge as well, although the color blocking is a bit subtle, but then again I think I like subtle color-blocking best.
Happy Friday All! I’m keeping it casual today on Fashion Friday!
Skirt & Shirt - Thrifted; Belt - Forever 21; Gladiator Sandals - Shoe Show
I thrifted this paisley floral skirt a couple of months ago and it had already seen loads of weekend wear. Throw on a simple tee and this is better than a pair of shorts. It makes me thing of county music, cowgirl boots and chic southern backyard barbeques. The shirt was a nice find last week and is a very nice 100% cotton, but the buttons need to be replaced with something more substantial or the front sewn shut. I like the buttons so I might just sew it shut! I had problems all morning with the top button popping open. A couple of safety pins later and I was good to go for the day!
