So, you might have noticed that I’ve been kinda quiet this week. Well there’s a perfectly good reason for that, Tuesday night our septic system decided to stop working and then promptly back up. We’ve been patiently waiting (although patience are stating to run thin) on the repair guy for two days. ***Ok, they just showed up and assessed the situation. Hopefully they’ll be back in a few hours to complete the job. I say, just hurry!***
Thank goodness my parents only live a few miles away, so they graciously allowed us to use their bathroom for showers and such yesterday evening. Sorry, I don’t think we need a picture of this calamity for the blog, just use your imaginations or not! LOL
While I was at my parents last night, Dad presented me with this little lovely!
I haven’t had a chance to try it out with yarn yet, but it seems to work beautifully and it’s huge! Yes, it’s almost as big as my dinning room table! It folds up for easy storage though. :) Here’s another shot!
Now if anyone is interested in purchasing one, Dad can make more (not mass produce them, but more – LOL). I’m not 100% sure what the wood is that he used, but I will find out this afternoon. Anyway I think we will determine a more appropriate size and then list them in my Etsy shop!
Hope you all are having a great week! And keep on smiling, ’cause I know I am!! :D
Hi Everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend!! I just wanted to post a quick update and let you all know that I updated my Etsy shop as promised with some new stitch-markers. I didn’t get as many done as I had anticipated, but that just means another update at the end of the week!! LOL Hope you like them!
I know I almost missed it, but not quite. :D
It was inevitable, Caveman has come down with… a virus! Agh! I sure hope I’m not next on the virus’ list. Anyway he’s feeling better now. Here’s to rest and feeding a virus! LOL
I desperately need a pair of these, but I can’t decide on a color – they’re all so cute! Any suggestions?? Please?
Sign ups open on March 20th. I really want to participate in this swap. I haven’t participated in a swap in awhile. They are always so much fun and who can resist coffee & yarn? Come on???
I will have an update in the Etsy shop, probably Monday morning. If you liked the preview yesterday, then you are so going to love the finished markers. Inspiration did strike on a few more sets so there are lots to go around. Stay tuned. Oh & have a great weekend everyone!
I hope you all had a great weekend. All in all, ours was pretty great. We hung out, ate out a couple of times, and just enjoyed our time with each other. We both (as I’m sure everyone else is too) are looking forward to Spring. If the weather is nice we hope to go hiking in KY this coming weekend.
I also updated my Etsy shop this weekend with these lovelys…plus a few more,
And I made it through the first ball of yarn on the Nantucket Jacket.
I’m really happy with this knit so far and knitting it in the round has been wonderful too. I’ve been wanting to make this jacket since it came out so I’m pleased that it’s living up to what I had hoped it would be. The pattern is interesting enough, but really easy to memorize once you get going. I have a few more “red/pink/burgundy” knits planned for Feb/March. Since February is almost over, we’ll see if I get to them as I knit somewhat along with Project Spectrum 3.
Oh, did you see Cattywampus’ 28Thirty? It looks fabulous on her and I love her mods of the added length. I wasn’t really planning on this one, but now I’m reconsidering. This might be a great quick knit, esp with all the stockinette. ;)
I apologize for being so quiet this week, but I had another big day trip to Nashville yesterday. The meetings all went well, it was just a very long day and I didn’t get home until really late.
Also in my last post I may have been a bit misleading with the picture. See, those aren’t my socks, those are Emily’s socks that she knit for her Aunt Pearl. And speaking of Emily and her Aunt Pearl, her blogiversary was yesterday and I was the third winner in her contest!!! WooHoo!! Really though, the even bigger news is that she was able to donate over $200 to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!! Although the contest is over, you can still purchase the sock pattern and Emily will continue to donate the proceeds to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, so there’s still time to help out!!
Last week, Robin inquired if I still make and sell stitch-markers in my Etsy shop. Yes I certainly do! She put in her request for a violet/purple set and I really hope she likes them. When Robin receives them I’ll post some pictures of them, until then here’s a couple of pair I will be listing in the shop later this week.
I haven’t updated the shop with new inventory lately, but I am going to be slowly doing just that over the next couple of weeks. St. Patrick’s Day is coming up and there are already a few pairs of super cute Emerald stitch-markers on there, so go check them out. No pressure or anything. LOL Also if you have a specific request please let me know and I’ll see if I can come up with something you will like. ;)
