Fashion Friday: Embellished Denim & Colored Pants

Yay!! It’s Friday!!! Our weekend plans include loads of outside time!! It’s supposed to be 80 degrees by next Tuesday, but first we have to get through the yucky cold rain!

I showed this Embellished Denim jacket almost two months ago on Instagram and have been trying to figure out how to wear it ever since! Then I saw this photo over on Grace’s blog for the March Open to Interpretation.

Inspiration! I knew how to style my Embellished Denim Jacket! BTW – here’s Kayla’s look and Eric’s too! I think I got pretty close!

Denim Jacket – Thrifted, Knit Top & New Flats – Target, Colored Pants – Chadwicks

Do you like my new ballet flats I picked up at Target last week? I love them! They are super comfortable and go with just about anything. I was needing some brown flats to replace a much older pair of cheap brown loafers I was wearing everywhere on the weekends, these are perfect!

Fashion Friday: Cobalt & Minty Checks

Happy Friday!! It’s been another busy, long week for me and I’m so glad to see the weekend.

Gingham shirt, Sweater & Cobalt Jeans – Thrifted, Statement Necklace – Julep, Ankle Boots – old

I had a completely different outfit picked out for today, but somehow this outfit put itself together last night and I couldn’t wait to wear it today! Mint and cobalt have been a big hit the past few of years. I tried the look a couple of times before here on the blog, but I think today’s outfit is my favorite so far. Plus I altered my pants, can you tell they’re no longer a version of weird too short – boot cut! I hated the way they looked and kept telling myself I was going to fix them, well I finally did. Maybe a DIY how-to is in order for this weekend!

Spring is almost here and I’ve been seeing checks and gingham pop up everywhere; on blogs, the runway and on the street. I thrifted this sweater in the fall while looking for something minty, the gingham shirt and cobalt jeans were also thrifted over a year ago.

Warm Winter Style: Black, Shiny & Cranberry

Happy Wednesday! Its been so warm recently that I thought I would get myself in the Christmas spirit by wearing my shiny snowflake shirt!

This is just a basic T-shirt, but to keep it dressy enough for office wear I paired it with my colored pants, a few accessories & black faux croc wedge loafers via Target.

If the weather had been cooler I think I would have added a blazer & scarf. I hope it cools down soon, is really like snow for Christmas!

Are you guys ready for Christmas? I’m so close, but I still need to purchase Caveboy’s gift. This year I’m finding it harder to buy for him than previous years, mainly because he’s suddenly become very opinionated about everything and knowing he will get so much from everyone else.

Autumn Brights!

Happy Wednesday All!! I thrifted this great turquoise corduroy jacket last weekend, and it’s so fun to wear! Plus it’s fully lined too!

I almost acheived a monchromatic look with my cobalt jeans, but broke it up with a black and grey striped top. I can’t wait to pair it with a few other things again soon!

Colored Jeans Wednesday

I thought I’d attempt my recently thrifted cobalt jeans again today! I love this color. I used to have a beautiful cobalt sweater but I’m afraid it got donated  a few years back. I miss this sweater…

Yellow Tee- Target; Olive Sweater - JCP; Pants, Gingham Shirt, Scarf & Bag - Thrifted; Loafers - ???

I really thought my loafers matched my purse better, oh well… You may also be wondering why I’m wearing three shirts in such beautiful, sunny,  deceptively warm looking weather; it’s because its barely above 50 degrees and there is an expected hard freeze tonight! This is after most all the flowering trees are a distant memory and it looks like mid-May outside. Winter is giving us one last kick in the pants this week! LOL!

I gave the red lipstick a go again today. I’m trying not to look so washed out!
