Casual Friday: Denim & Floral Capri’s

I can’t believe it’s time for another weekend already!! This year is flying by and for us, it only looks to become more hectic.

With the warmer weather I couldn’t resist pairing this great denim top with my Capri’s for a casual look. Also I’m playing along with the @C2C_Central girls for the #Tucked-In #CoasttoCoastChallenge yesterday. I attempted the front tuck, but I never seem to master the look. I’m positive I’ll keep trying, LOL.

I went with a #redlip today, although it looks pink in most of these photos, and the no-heat curls I blogged about recently.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! I’m hoping for a relaxing weekend myself. Until next time!!

WIWW: Lime Florals

Happy Wednesday Y’all!! Hope its warm and sunny where you are today too!

It was so nice & warm today that I just couldn’t resist pulling out my floral Capri’s! I’ve had these pants forever and I love wearing them every year. I’ve paired them with lots of different tops and sweaters over the years, but this sweater is my favorite! Not only is the front a V-neck, but the back is V’ed (this is officially a word now) as well. This fact makes it hard to keep on the shoulders at times, but this can be a good or bad thing depending on the look your going for, IE: work or date night!

I found a simple way to get my hair to curl properly on where else – Pinterest! This Twisty No-heat curls method has been super easy for me to achieve amazing results every time – without fail, so I’ll take it. It may work so well because I already have curly/wavy/frizzy hair though, but give it a try and let me know what you think!

Black & White Pattern Mixing

Happy Monday! I’m still lovin’ the Black & White trend this spring. The weather cooled back down after a storm we had so I needed a cardigan, but I was able to rock my sandals!! 😀

Black & White, Stripes, Floral, DIY Statement Necklace

Cardigan & Striped Tee – Thrifted, Skirt – Chadwicks (old), Sandals – Shoe Show, DIY Statement Necklace & Bracelet – Handmade by Me

Today I feel as though I have successfully pulled off the pattern mixing trend for which stripes & florals are always a good choice. I’m also wearing my DIY Statement Necklace and Bracelet that I made recently from this Pin. These added a nautical flare to my outfit! BW-stripesNfloral Linking up with these beauties today! WIWW: Minty Florals

Spring has definitely sprung this week with warmer temps, sunshine and even a few thunderstorms! I am in love with the weather and soaking up as much as I can of the glorious sunshine! Can you tell I was over winter? 😉

I paired this mint sweater with my DIY 1 yard of material skirt, this thrifted green Calvin Klein belt and Target ballet flats! This combo is a keeper, I just love how this outfit came together. It is so springy too!

Also did you notice my legs aren’t as stark white as a few weeks ago? I recently picked up a travel sized tube of Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer and have been using it a couple of days a week ever since.

Jergens Natural Glow Daily MoisturizerI have a nice glow – not stark white anymore, but more importantly I’m not orange either! I love this stuff! When I go to purchase a regular sized bottle, I’m going to try out the Jergens Natural Glow Firming + Daily Moisturizer! And I have a $1 off coupon too!

(Note: I was not compensated in any way for this review. This is just my opinion. I like passing on info on great products when I can. 😉 )

Trend of the Month: Black & White

Black-white TOTM IMAGE

It’s time for another Trend of the Month Challenge with Marionberry Style!! Go on over and check her out, she just gave birth 3 weeks ago and she looks amazing!!!

I recently wore a Black & White outfit that I loved and would have loved to link up. It was extremely simple but sometimes simplicity is best, so it’s no surprise that I struggled with putting together another Black & White outfit. This time I thought I’d try my hand at pattern mixing again.

TOM: Black&White

Blazer – JCP (old), Sweater – Thrifted, Skirt – made by me, Bracelet, Tights & Wedge Loafers – Target

Now I know I’m cheating a little with the pink and tan on my skirt, but overall the theme is black and white. The floral paired with stripes is a bit stark by itself, so I added the blazer for unity. Not sure if this is a winner, but it made for a nice business casual look today.

I’m also linking up with these lovely ladies again today too!
